My temperature in the thermostat is set high but all I feel is cold air blowing. I’ve checked settings. Nothing seems to be any different then it’s been. Help!!!

I just bought my learning thermostat yesterday and installed it just fine, but mine is doing the same thing. Double checked all of the wiring, etc. I have a heat pump set up using the "blue" wire and verified in the app that was the wire identified. Eventually I just got frustrated and put my old Honeywell thermostat back on the wall and it works fine. I'll likely just call support and try to figure it out that way, unless I stumble on a fix. What cooling/heating set up are you using?

FYI...I just figured out my problem. If you have a complete electric heating/cooling system, I had to put my "blue" wire on the "C" post on the backing plate, NOT the O/B post. Works perfectly now! Good luck!!

Where was that "blue wire" in your original thermostat? Was it in O/B there or were you not using it at all? Also, do you now have anything in the O/B slot on the nest? I'm having the same problem where the A/C works fine, but the heat setting is blowing cold air as well.

My old thermostat had the blue wire in the "B" spot. Had Google in a chat and they came back showing it goes in the "C" spot and that fixed it. My "O/B" spot is currently empty and everything is working fine.

Thank you for your reply. So I’m not extremely knowledgeable with all this stuff but I have central air and heat. I have a gas furnace. Not really sure what it could be. My nest thermostat worked fine and seems like it’s working but home is not heating to teach temperature that I set. A friend of mine installed the nest thermostat when I had my old furnace and everything was working fine. I have a new furnace now and something is not right. I also noticed a hole in one of the ducts that air is blowing out of so that might be contributing to the issue too. Supposed to have the guy who installed it come out and look tomorrow.

Good luck! Hope you can get it resolved soon.
