I bought 2 NEST 4th Gen Thermostats these both were working great for couple days. After couple days the one which I have upstairs got automatically removed from my Google Home. I reconnected to it via Google Home. But it seems it is not showing me everything. There is no schedule data and when I click the setting on this thermostat it comes blank saying "Couldn't connect" with a 'Retry' Button.
I tried restarting it couple times and that did not help at all, then I did couple of factory reset and reinstalled it couple times and that did not help either. It has a great connection with my WiFi with no issues. Also, I cannot remove it from my google home and my account, not sure how to do that.
My other thermostat is working well so far.
Attached are my screens shots - 3 in total
After clicking 'Schedules'
After clicking Settings on the top right
Thank you for your help in advance!

Having same issue, got off the phone with Google help and was advised technical team is aware as they mirrored my screen to see similar issue as above, as can control temp but cannot access the device in settings. Also won't allow the temperature monitors as it does not see the nest 4th gen. Was advised would get an email with update. No email received yet

Thank you for your response. Would love to hear back from you as soon as you get the email from google. It seems many folks are facing this issue. Thank you for contributing.
It is unfortunate that we did not hear anything from Google on this issue.

Same issue here. Exact displays as above, no settings says "no connection retry". Also can't delete/remove old 2nd gen thermostat. No delete/remove option available in settings.

Since we have Google's attention, I would like Google to know that their Google Home app sucks (At least the Android) version. It's UI is very unorganized, I would like to give this feedback that please put in some more effort in making this app useful. There can be a tons of organizational features to make the end user's life little better. This is the age of IoT, Google can loose it or use it!!

Thank you Gabriela, I will certainly give feedback on the Google Home app. Currently, it looks very dated.
Also, would like to get some resolution on our issue here with the 4th Gen Nest Thermostat.
Thank you

I am having the same issue. I installed it and was working perfectly. In less than 24 hours I got a message in the Google home app that the device has been disconnected. Since then I have tried everything possible to no avail. Including factory reset twice. I could no longer see the temp control in the app.

@GabrielaG any updates on this issue please? Will there be a Google Home patch to fix this issue or a NEST 4th Gen Thermostat firmware update?

I have contacted Google many times past 2 weeks. And as of 2 days ago, our new 4th generation thermostat is now working in Google Home app. Also the settings tab is working and delete device option is showing as well. So I guess it was fixed for now. Although, without any follow ups to customers. Figures

Thank you for updating us, But for me, it is still not working. May be it needs another factory reset but I'm dreading to do that :(. Lets see if Google responds with additional steps for us.

Thanks. My display for the generic Nest still is blank. Did you have you do anything to get it working?

Nope. I think it was a app update. I have android, wife has iPhone and both working now

It has to be the Google Home app. The Nest app doesn't work anymore
Thursday
Mine is also working now. Just started working again randomly
Saturday
I returned mine and got a new one, which is luckily working fine (fingers crossed) 😞 very disappointed with the quality of Google's value.
