Hi there! Can anyone advise if Google Nest Learning Thermostat would be compatible with my current thermostat? Wires are “P/P1” and “N/P2” Thank you!

You are using a Diakin ductless mini split? Those systems use a 2-wire proprietary communications system. Those are not compatible with any conventional HVAC thermostat including Nest Thermostats.

That’s unfortunate 😞 I’m in a condo building and that’s what they have set up, but unfortunately, the temperature won’t keep to what’s it’s set for. I have to keep turning the unit on and off and with a small baby, it’s troublesome. Really liked how the Nest has room sensors to help better control the temperature.

If your AC is not keeping your room cool enough you need to have the system checked. Let the system run for 10 minutes. I use a digital thermometer, put it in front of the Air Return grill. Get a reading, then go to the supply vent that is closest to AC unit, put the thermometer up inside the vent pipe, It needs to be inside not on the surface. You should have temperature difference about 18°F. If the difference is less than 12 degrees, call the supervisor and tell them your AC a needs to be serviced.
