I have a Goodman air handler and heat pump and I’m having some trouble with wiring my new nest thermostat.

I have a jumper from RC to R, a Y, G, C, O/B, and a white and black going into W2.

how do I wire this for the nest thermostat. What do I do about the two wires in W2?

Thank you!

Hello JohnnyBoy1,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

The 2 wires on the W2 terminal are either for auxiliary or emergency heat. To figure out what these two wires do, please check your furnace or air handler's control board to see where the wires connect. If possible, could you share a photo of it with us so we can see how we can label them on the Nest Thermostat?

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark
