We have a schedule and presence sensing is disabled, but despite that, our two Google Nest Smart Thermostats change without warning. I noticed after being away from the house for an hour, that the thermostats had reset to 82, so that's what prompted us to turn off presence sensing. What else can cause the Google Nest Smart Thermostats to change on their own? Is there something else that needs to be enabled or disabled? If this doesn't get resolved, I'll probably sell them on Marketplace and buy a pair of Ecobee or Honeywell thermostats.

You might’ve had auto schedule on & nest has set a schedule automatically. Check on your schedule & edit or delete to your preference. You can also try turning off eco, airwave & cool to dry if you want. Good luck.

I had already checked all those things, but will check again. I have Presence Sensing off but the app still switches to Away mode when I leave the house, which resets both thermostats.

Hello everyone,
I know it's been awhile, and I wanted to ensure you got the answer you're looking for. I'd be happy to shed some light on your situation with your Nest Thermostat's unexpected temperature change behavior.
@bgux, I appreciate all the steps you've taken. Apart from disabling the temperature schedules and the presence sensing, please check that the routines don't contribute to changing them from the home and away modes. Look for any thermostat actions and remove them. You can check out the Change Home and Away Routines settings for the guide.
Thanks for lending a hand here, @HVAC.
Regards,
Mark
