I installed the Google Nest thermostat and added a C wire to avoid power problems. My unit is functioning but my wires are connected reverse: White wire is connected to the Y (cooling) and yellow wire to the W (heat). I tried to connect these wires in the correct way but instead of cold air I was getting warm air and instead of heat, I was getting cold air. I have a heat pump, but I didn’t use the O/B. I tried to connect W to the O/B, but didn’t work. I would really appreciate any advice. Thank you.
P.S. I also checked the unit to make sure my wires are connected correctly: inside of my A/C the Yellow is connected to Y and white is connected to W.

Hi SamB1,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We'd be happy to take a look into this for you. We can set it up on the Nest Thermostat as a heat pump and correct the wire configuration. We can change the O/B orientation to match your heat pump function.
Send us a photo of your heat pump wiring so that we can send you the correct wiring configuration and guide you in reinstalling the Nest Thermostat on your system.
I look forward to your response.
Best,
Renz

With this connection everything is working, but I know that Y and W wires are connected to the wrong spots.
