Hello mlksoccer,

It sounds like you're having some issues with your Nest Thermostat. If you're seeing a low-power message in the app despite having it plugged into the wall, there are a few things you can check.

If you've already tried plugging it into the wall without success, there are a few more things you can check:

  1. Ensure that the power source you're using is providing a stable and sufficient power supply. Sometimes, a faulty outlet or power cable can cause issues. Charge it for an hour before placing it back at its base.
  2. If your thermostat is wired to your HVAC system, check the wiring to ensure everything is properly connected. Loose or damaged wires could be causing the power issue. Does it have a C wire installed?
  3. You can also try performing a restart on the thermostat by holding down the button (usually located on the back or side) for about 10 seconds until it restarts. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
  4. If none of these steps work, gather the power readouts in the Technical Info settings or in the Equipment settings. Also, inspect for any wiring reports or message codes that could tell us for a potential power issue.

Let us know how it goes.

Best regards,
Mark
