Hi

We have a dual zone system and two nests. The downstairs one is working fine but the upstairs one that heats upstairs and the hot water stopped working yesterday.  The thermostat says h71 cannot connect to heatlink.

There is no light on the heatlink box and the button does not work.

It seems to be broken  I rang an installer who told me I may need a new heatlink. Can you help?

Hi Kate_22

I’m sorry for the delayed response ― let’s see what’s going on.

A few questions: what Nest Thermostat do you have? What is the color of your Heat Link's light? Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, has the error persisted since this power cut? What is the distance between the Heat Link and Nest thermostat? Are the Heat Link and display on the same floor?

  • Heat Link and boiler: The Heat Link must have a 30 cm radius of free space around it.
  • Heat Link and display: The maximum distance for a wireless connection between the Heat Link and display is 30 m.

Give these steps a try:

  1. Restart the Heat Link
  2. Move your thermostat and test the connection
  3. Reset the Heat Link to defaults
  4. Stop wireless interference from other electronics

Keep us posted.

Best,

Mel
