Heat Link Power Failed

Nest heat link has failed. No power at all. The supply is fine (checked and verified) but will not power on. This seems to be a known problem. However, I now have no control over the heating from the boiler.

How do I get this fixed without having to buy a complete new unit?

Not very happy and cold.

How old is the unit?

Just over two years.

Just over two years old.

OK, first I would try my luck ringing Nest see if they can help.

Failing that I would get the installer or retailer, where ever you purchased the set from, to get it repaired or replaced. ''The set has not lasted for a reasonable length of time''

After a long winded back and forth with a Nest (on Twitter) I now have an engineer coming to fix it. But not till Thursday… I’ll wear an extra jumper till then.😜

Hey @battybouy. I'm sorry to hear about your Heat Link. I'll do my best to get this sorted for you as soon as possible.

Here are some helpful troubleshooting steps:

Press the button on the Heat Link and check if you have any lights on it
Check if the circuit breakers and the switches are set to on
Turn them off and then back on
Press on the button again and check for LEDs

Could you also help me with some answers to these questions?

How long has your thermostat been installed for?
Did the issue happen during the installation?
Is there any error on the Nest thermostat display?
Have you had any power cuts recently?
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done?
How many zones ( thermostats ) are present in the setup?

Regards,
Cristian
