Help with Wiring

AmyRN
Community Member

I am trying to install my new nest thermostat. I am a little confused about the wiring. The old system has

-The red wire in the RC port

- Yellow wire is in the W port

- There was a jumper between the W and the Y.

-The white wire is in the O port

- The green wire is in the G port.

Where do these wires go on the new system?

The red wire in the RC port <—- this goes to Rc.

- Yellow wire is in the W port.  <—- This goes to Y

- There was a jumper between the W and the Y. <—- Ignore this Jumper

-The white wire is in the O port.  <—— this will go to O/B*

- The green wire is in the G port. <—- this goes to G

You have a Heat Pump and it appears you do not have auxiliary heat.
