Home/Away Assist Doesn't Recognize That I'm At Home

I have just set up Home/Away Assist and registered my phone.  However, even though location services is working fine and I'm sitting in my living room the Nest app shows my current status as Not Here.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong?

Thanks.

Thank you for your response.  I've figured out what the problem is.  When I originally set up the thermostat I just gave it my postal code.  This wasn't quite close enough to let the app know I was at home.  I've entered my full address now and the app now shows that I'm "Here".  Thanks again.

hi, if you can un plug your nest thermostat from it base, wait a few minutes re plug it in, see how it goes, my google home "lost" the phone settings, this restored them for me, quick try, this is.

@pjda   This solved it for me! Had to put in my full address and then a map popped up so I could put a pin directly on my house. Whew

How do you enter your full address? Or where?

I am assuming that you know the answer… but for those who don’t, I opened the nest app —> went to settings —> clicked home info —> clicked on address- > and moved the pin to the correct spot.

I posted this because I had the address in correctly but had somehow moved the pin a few hundred meters away.

thank you so much! I've been struggling with it not recognizing i am "here" eventhough I had location services on etc. Changing to the full address did the trick!!

I noticed tonight that the heating in my house was really hot.  The thermostat was reporting the heating was not on, when clearly it was.  Has anyone investigated a possible supply chain attack involving the Europe devices. In light of the volatility in the gas and oil markets over the last number of months and what is going on in Europe. It seems a likely target for state sponsored actors to influence the supply demand of gas/electric  by wide spread manipulation of home heating devices. Thoughts ??

Input all of your home address info. Street, city, state. Fixed it for me.
