I am hoping to cover/enclose the heat link E in a cupboard as it is larger than expected and quite noticeable on the wall. Is it only the temperature detected by the thermostat on the stand that decides when the boiler should start/stop or is this also decided by the temperature detected by the Heat Link E? (Can the heat link E be put anywhere within 30 metres of the thermostat, either enclosed in a cupboard or garage where the temperature won’t be representative of the main parts of the house?)
Many thanks

Hello there! Thanks for posting. The temperature of the Heat Link is not the one that triggers the boiler itself, the thermostat does that, so in this case there should be no problem. Covering the Heat Link with a cupboard might interfere with the connection of both devices and resulting in them getting disconnected. Also, I would not recommend for the Heat Link to be moved so far from the thermostat since this might also interfere with the connection. Indeed, you can place the thermostat in a range of 30 meters, but that range might have things that can interfere such as walls, pipes, doors, any other wireless devices, etc. For more information you can follow this link: https://goo.gle/3JR9zhr.
Hope this will help you decide where to place the thermostat best.
Many thanks, Oana.
