How hard is it to get a replacement for my Nest Thermostat that doesn't show the display anymore?

My Nest Thermostat hasn't worked right from the beginning.  WiFi is never connected, always says replace batteries, even if they're new batteries, and now there's no display, beep, or sign of power.  PLEASE, it's getting cold outside and inside, How can I get, at least a refurbished replacement for my Nest thermostat?
