Hi. I am having trouble getting the Google Home app to accept an email address. I get to the invitation page but it will only allow me to type the first character of the email address that I want to use. Any help please.
thanks

There are several recent posts in this forum reporting the same defect, with no response from Google Nest.

Btw. I did speak to support but they did not say there was an obvious solution.

thanks. That is disappointing. It is possibly because I have to use a gmail account. Or perhaps it will work if I accept a request from the family member.

You do have to use a gmail account in household invites. But having the screen accept just one character for the email address seems to be a newly introduced defect.

Thanks. Do you know if both devices have to use gmail accounts?

What do you mean by "both devices have to use gmail accounts"? All Google Nest household members, including the owner, have to have gmail accounts.

Thanks. Ok, that might be where the problem is. I’m using an iCloud account as the Onwner. Will start again.
