I can’t get an entry key because it says I’m already connected to the app and it is not on the app

Ok I have a nest thermostat for a while. At one point it was connected to the app but we didn’t use it really.  Now I want to use it and it’s not in the app. So when I try to install it and get the entry key the nest says it’s already connected to the app.  But yet it’s not on my app. It is connected properly to my WiFi but not on the app. Help

Not to worry. Follow these steps:

  1. On the thermostat, go to Settings > Reset > Account connection. If you don't see this option, you'll need to select All settings.
  2. Follow the setup steps: Add your Nest thermostat to the Nest app - Google Nest Help

The QR code and setup key are in the settings on the thermostat itself and are not printed on the device.
