Hi All,
This is probably very easy, but not as straightforward as the Nest Power Connector instruction manual says (basically, I'm confused on what to do with the Y wire.)
I have a Google Nest Thermostat (Model 1.4, Software 1.1-11). I have it connected with 3 wires - Y, G, R. (same as my previous, not WiFi connected Thermostat).
I'm installing the Nest Power Connector so that I don't lose battery (this is necessary, right?).
The A/C air handler (Lennox CB29M) has 6 connections - C G W1 W2 W3 R. Only 3 are being used - C G and R. The R should be easy - the instructions are clear to "intercept" this with the PowerConnector.
The instructions also say to leave the G wire connected.
But what do I do with the Y/C wire? The Y wire comes up from the thermostat, seems to be connected to the Compressor which is then connected to the C wire (arrow "A") on the A/C handler (with a wire nut - arrow "B").A/C Air Handler Wiring
If I connect the "C" to the "C" on the Power Connector (the White wire), where do I connect the "W/Y" ? And do I connect the "Y" from the thermostat to the "W/Y" Power Connector (gray wire) before or after the wire nut?
Any help is appreciated!

In your nest thermostat, which color wire is connected to the Y ?

In my thermostat the wire connected to Y is white.
thanks for the response!

that yellow wire that leaving R, and going down, seems to come back up and connects to the Red thermostat wire. Is that correct? Where does that yellow wire go down below.

Hi Ken - again, this is great. Exactly what I’m looking for: “connect this to this”.
The red wire comes from the thermostat, attaches to the yellow with a wire nut, goes out to an emergency water level sensor (cuts the power if I collect a bunch of water in the catch tray) and back in to the “R” terminal. Pretty clear that this is my R wire.
I’m going to try this on Saturday!

Hi folks - sorry for the delay.
I was able to make the connections and get it to work.
i did get an alert email during the week which made me think it hadn’t worked but I haven’t seen it since. And testing from the device (Power Connector -> Power Test) tells me I’m good.
thanks so much for the help!
