Location of nest stat

Hi all,

we have had our stat mounted on the wall in the hall for a year now,and have had to keep it at 23.5 to keep the house warm.

I recently bought a stand and installed it in the living room, it seem to work much better and it only needs setting at 22-22.5 to keep the house warm…..

why is that…???

Many reasons, location of display, drafts, near to a radiator, smaller room area, but I should think your hall is warmer than your living room?

Hi there, @Timbo2. Thanks for reaching out and thanks for your help, @Frustratedddd. This usually happens from having hot water pipes trough the wall, or wires that could get warm, proximity to any source of heat and many other reasons.

Hi, yes thank you, I’ve moved it back onto the stand and it works much better.
