My best learning thermometer has worked fine until today. We had a intense power surge and then power outage for more than 24 hours. At first I wasn’t able to get it connected to wifi but I plugged it into a usb to charge for a bit and was able to get connected. However in the process the app no longer recognizes the thermostat and when I try to re-add it, it gets stuck because the “nest app” site on the thermostat shows low battery. So frustrating!

Thanks for following up. None of the things in the articles worked. I was able to get TA from Nest and we got it working. Needed to turn power off at house and undo all the wires and re attach them.

Hi Dgreiff,
I am glad to hear you were able to get the device working, and everything is good to go from here. I know this was not the most ideal situation. With the issue being resolved, I am going to go ahead, and lock the thread in 24 hours. Let me know if you have any further questions from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look.
Best regards,
Jake
