Low power on nest thermostat

Ive pulled the thermostat off the base station and connected a micro usb to it.  This charges the thermostat enough to get the heating back on but once I replace the thermostat it loses power again.  Over the last few weeks this has happened to lot of people on this forum.

Hopefully there will be an update from the Nest team as to why the problem is.

Ok thanks I am having the same issue    Has there been a response yet?

Hello,

just got off the phone to Google Nest Team. The advisor went through a range of things checking things such as the power being retained in the battery.  This needs to be at 3.800v - 3.900v. mine was 3.6 - 3.7. After making sure I was using the correct charging leads / Plugs they offered to send me a new unit.  This is all free of charge. Hope this helps.
