Moved into a house with a Nest Thermostat, how do I connect the Nest to my IPad?

How do I connect my Nest to my IPad? I’ve  recently moved into a home with a Nest and I do not have an instruction manual. Feeling lost. I’m leaving for a week and would like to set the temperature to 64 degrees for the duration of my trip.

Google doesn't really do manuals.  Their instructions are here:  https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9248184?hl=en

I don't know anything about connecting to an iPad, but what you want for your week away is "Eco mode".  You can do it right from the Nest, if you can't get the iPad connected in time.  Twirl and click until you get Settings, set the Eco temperature to 64.  Then  --  different twirling and clicking  --  set Eco mode on.
