NEST is not turning my heating off

My Nest Thermo is not working and speaking to my heating. We recently bought the house and the previous owner cancelled his account. We logged in and set up as instructed. Since then we have no control over the heating and is on constantly

Hi Steed44,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

Congratulations on getting your new home! Let's get this Nest Thermostat back to work. Since it was registered to the previous owner, it is best to put it back to its default factory settings. Check this link on how to reset your Nest Thermostat.

Once reset is completed, we'll need to make sure that all the wires at the base are properly seated. We can then start the setup process and add it to your own account using Nest app or Google Home app. Check this link for the complete guide.

Let me know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Best regards,

Ryan
