NEST set up challenges

I am trying to set up my NEST thermostat (2nd of 2) but I get stuck in this endless loop of doom.  I cannot remember my NEST password so I can go into Nest to link it with Google,  cannot get Nest to send to me a password reset, although Google will not allow me to link Nest with my current gmail account.  So what do I do?

Need use a computer, not a phone or tablet, and go to home.nest.com 

Once there you can search for password recovery.  My goal password recovery you will have to know the email address that’s associated with the account and have access to that..
