Can you post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring here?

We figured it out. We had both Rh and arc wires connected. We only needed to connect one.

Typo…Rc

Did the original thermostat have wires connected to both the Rc and Rh terminals or just a jumper?

I think there was a jumper in the old thermostat.

Hello @sldurant1

Thank you for reaching out to our Nest Community. Don't worry, I'd be happy to help you with your Nest Thermostat's wiring.

I fully understand this situation. Let me give you a hand.

  • I want to start by asking you what type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • When did the issue stared?
  • Do you see a specific error code on your Thermostat display?
  • If it is possible you can share a picture showing your previous and actual wiring configuration.

Feel free to keep us posting, we're here to find a solution for you.

Best regards.

Douglas.
