Nest Compatibility - W/E

When checking if our current system is compatible with the Nest, we noticed that we have a wire labeled W/E, but this was not an option on the website. Would selecting just W cause any issues with our system? Does the E really impact anything? Is there an option that includes W/E?

It is W so put in the W on Nest.

Do you have a extra wire in the cable in the wall?

You should connect a C wire it will provide constant power more reliably with the C wire.

If you see a spare wire in the cable then you can go to the furnace and connect it to the C screw on the terminal strip where the other thermostat wires are connected.
