When the Nest E Learning Thermostat is chewing the little green led will slowly flash. It takes about 4-hours to get an 80% charge.  How long did you charge the thermostat for? Does your HVAC system thermostat have a C wire?

You might want to try charging it for four or more hours. I normally tell Customer to charge it for 24 hours.

Hi LEidens,

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I’m sorry to hear about the situation. How's it going with your Nest Thermostat? Were you able to read the information that CoolingWizard has shared? Also, a few questions: For how long does your Nest Thermostat E lasts after you charged it, and can you help me with your Nest Thermostat E's power reading?

  1. To open the Quick View menu, press the thermostat’s ring.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Turn the ring to highlight Technical Info then press the ring to select it.
  4. Select Power.
    • VOC
    • VIN
    • IIN

I'll look forward to your response.

I appreciate your help, @CoolingWizard

Best,

Zoe
