Nest E thermostat mind of its own!

Honestly I’m so frustrated with this device it’s caused so many issues over the past few years. On this occasions, we recently changed WiFi throughout the summer. This obviously resulted in our nest thermostat being disconnected, but with it being summer and not using the heating we never thought to reconnect. We tried reconnecting a few days ago and it LOOKED as if it did. However felt a chill today so went to turn the heating up and after an hour did not feel any warmer. Went upstairs to check our logic max combi boiler to see an error “room stat or timer off”. Checked the app and it all seemed fine, checked the heat link E and again all okay. However when trying to control the heating through the app AND the thermostat, it had no effect on the heating what so ever. It’s feels like even though they both look healthy, the thermostat and heat link are not talking to one another. The temperature is reading 20°C+ and I can assure you it is not near that. Tried resetting to factory then had an absolute nightmare getting it to connect to our internet again. Eventually after being unsuccessful with mine and my partners phone, it allowed us to connect to WiFi using my partners iPad after downloading the nest app. I’m fairly certain the issue isn’t boiler related, as you can manually turn on the heating by double clicking the heat link to which you hear the click and the heating turn on. What’s strange to me is that then the app will show that the heating is In manual so the devices MUST be communicating in some way? Any help would be massively appreciated
