Nest E thermostat Can’t get app back running. Won’t accept QR code or entry key for the device.

Hi Hotrod2020,

 

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. If your Nest Thermostat is experiencing low battery issues or if there's a device that interferes with the connection, it will automatically go offline and you'll not be able to connect it back to your account unless it has sufficient power. Please check your thermostat readout.

 

You can follow this guide:

 

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu. 
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for  Technical Info.
  4. Choose Power.

 

The ideal battery level for your thermostat is at least 3.7-3.8 V above. Also, check for connection interference such as: cordless phones, Bluetooth devices, baby monitors and other Wi-Fi devices.
