I just want to verify that you have a Nest Thermostat E, which is only available through a Nest Pro, and not the newer Google Nest Thermostat (2020), which features a mirrored display.
Before I can provide the answer you need, I need to know how the original Themerstat was wired. Could you please post a picture of it here?
