Hi - I’ve just suddenly got a H71 error on my nest thermostat. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting but there is no lights on my heatlink.
has anyone experienced this and if so, what’s the resolution? My best controls both heating and hot water so I’m kind of screwed.
ive tried going to this (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en) and am not having any luck and it’s telling me to contact during opening hours, while also saying opening times are 24 hours.

Hi,
We are experiencing the same problem. I will be interested to see what answer you get. I had a electrian round and they have advised heatlink dead... ours is 14 months old!! see what happens tomorrow.

The link works for me!
I tried between the hours of 8am-7pm, quicker than waiting here for an answer.

Yes you’re right, called this morning at 8 and got straight through to someone.
Brief triage, but then quickly realised it was kaput.
new heatlink being sent out and they are also willing to fund getting a temporary thermostat (up to £50) and the engineer call out fee to fix the temp thermostat (until the new heatlink arrives) and then to fit the new heatlink once here (£100 per visit)
All in all, pretty swift resolution.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for reaching out. I'll do my best to get this sorted for you as soon as possible.
Here are some helpful troubleshooting steps:
Press the button on the Heat Link and check if you have any lights on it
Check if the circuit breakers and the switches are set to on
Turn them off and then back on
Press on the button again and check for LEDs
Could you also help me with some answers to these questions?
How long has your thermostat been installed for?
Did the issue happen during the installation?
Is there any error on the Nest thermostat display?
Have you had any power cuts recently?
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done?
How many zones ( thermostats ) are present in the setup?
Regards,
Cristian

Thanks for the post. Tried all the troubleshooting methods and none worked and there have been no power supply issues.
So it is just a failed heatlink. But new one being sent out now, so should all be sorted.
Will update on progress 😁
