Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen with EWC BMPlus 3000 Zone Control Board

I have been fighting an issue with dual fuel for quite a white now.  I have a Train Dual Fuel system with a heat pump and gas.  I have multiple Nest thermostats working with the EWC Controller for zoning.  BMPlus3000 – EWC

EWC tells me that I am setup correctly and Nest support does not understand the controller situation.  I need to know how to make them work together.  I think the Nest and EWC control board are fighting with each other.  Everything works great in the summer.  It is during the winter where I experience intermittent issues.

Hi msudwg,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing difficulties with your dual fuel system for some time. I'm happy to help by checking what is causing the intermittent issues with your Nest thermostat and EWC Zone Control. I'd be happy to help with your compatibility concerns!

To gather the necessary information and assist you effectively, please provide the following:

  • A picture of your old wiring configuration.
  • If you're comfortable, a picture of your control board (usually located near the furnace).
  • A picture of the current wiring configuration in your Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen).
  • Were you experiencing any thermostat error messages during the winter when you were having difficulties?

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
