Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Generation E5 Wiring Report

I am trying to install a 3rd Generation Nest Learning Thermostat but am getting an e5 wiring error. The app is telling me that is an invalid help code, but I looked online and it appears to be related to the W1 or Y1 heating or cooling wires. Here is a picture of my previous hookups:

And here is a picture of my new hookup:

I have confirmed that the wires are all seated and the four buttons are pushed. I even exposed a little more of each of the wires to make sure they were fully inserted. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any help or advice is appreciated!

Usually if it can’t detect it means wires are not seated all the way or some power is off to your air handler / heater.  You want to make sure wires are exposed enough and are straight no bends you just have to push them in w/out having to push the buttons and when you try to pull them out they shouldn’t move. That little button is used to push it in when you’re trying to remove the wire out. Good luck
