Nest Learning Thermostat

I am away on a very extended trip and have my Nest Learning Thermostat set to Heat & Cool.  I have specified "Heat to" and "Cool To" temperatures.  My question is, "given that I will not be home for a very long time, will the Eco feature override my "Heat to" and "Cool To" settings if I have Eco temperatures set to a broader range than those of the "Heat to" and "Cool To" temperatures?  I am thinking I should have updated the Eco temperatures to be the same as those of the "Heat to" and "Cool To" so that Eco wouldn't override the "Heat to" and "Cool To" temperatures.  Thanks.

As long as you have Home/Away Assist (aka presence sensing) turned off, your Eco temperatures shouldn't ever kick in at all.  The Nest should follow the schedule you set.  If Home/Away Assist is turned on, then the Nest will use the Eco temperatures.

By the way if you have wifi access on your trip, you can change the Nest's settings in your browser or app.  That's the best thing about the Nest!
