Nest Stuck at 44F

Andy1234

Our thermostat was set to 65F, very cold out last night ~0F, and read 65F. This morning it was still set to 65F, but read 44-45 (safety temperature 45F), and has read 44F all day. The screen is orange as if heating, but the temperature is not rising (constant at 44F, but not lowering either). We're away and can't quite the discern what the issue is, any advice if this is the thermostat or mote likely furnace would be great.

Ours did the same.  We had a furnace issue. Once we fixed the furnace, the house started heating up again. The thermostat was showing it was giving the signal to heat, but the furnace was unable to respond due to a bad motor in our case.

Thanks for the response!  This was actually the exact same scenario for us. Turned out our furnace had shut down due to a malfunctioning heat exchanger. The nest was trying to call for heat but the furnace wasn't able to supply any hot air despite the fan still blowing co
