I forgot my pin to my Nest thermostat. In an effort to fix the problem, I deleted the thermostat from my app. Now I can't modify the temperature in the upstairs of my home. I need to help either resetting my thermostat so I can add it back to my app and not use a pin going forward. Please help!

I find that Most of my customers always use a pin they can remember because they use the PIN for like unlocking their phone or the PIN from their ATM card or something like that so they don’t ever forget it. Perhaps you did the same and maybe it’s one of those PINS in your life?

I’ve tried every PIN I could think of. None of them work.

You are are suddenly in a very unfortunate state. As a major effort to prevent nest thermostats from ever being stolen, and being reused by the criminals who stole them, they make it impossible to simply reset the unit to erase the PIN. The PIN is locked in the nonvolatile memory.
in the past once the customer can show evidence to googles Nest customer service that are the lawful owner, they can send a software patch to your email. This special software can unlock and reset the Nest Thermostat. You might want to locate your purchase receipt and your product warranty registration back when you first purchased the unit.

So how do I go about contacting them? I’ve tried and keep coming back to the same place. No numbers to call. No email addresses to send me email.

Hello folks,
I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.
Thanks for the help here, @CoolingWizard.
@LeighAnnOak79, I'm chiming in to see if you had a chance to unlock your thermostat. I'd be glad to hear from you; we'd like to make sure everything is working.
If you no longer have access within the Nest app to unlock your thermostat. Manually resetting it would be the next option, which involves connecting your thermostat display to a computer and locating the file named "Technicalinfo.PLIST". Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.
Regards,
Mark
