My Nest gen 3 learning thermostat has started dropping offline from the app. This is a new thing, I’ve had the device for probably close to 2 years with no problems. I’ve tried EVERYTHING I can from resetting modem, restarting nest (that was working but yesterday it took a hard reset, and removing the device and adding it back in.). That worked for awhile. This morning it was back to offline. The router is fine, the battery in the Nest is fine, I’ve exhausted all troubleshooting tools and it’s still happening. Does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions?? Ready to dump this thing. I have the same device in my home in Colorado and it’s fine. Help is appreciated.

Hi Noelleym
I understand your frustration with your Nest gen 3 learning thermostat going offline. It can be quite inconvenient when a device you rely on suddenly stops working as expected. Even though you've tried many troubleshooting steps, there could be a few other things to check:
Please let me know how it goes,

Hi
I'm having exactly the same problem and only had for two years, it seems impossible to contact customer service it just goes round in circles, really not happy.

Agree completely. It’s a circular firing squad from Google. Let’s hope someone out there has the answer. It’s weird that my Nest thermostat in Colorado isn’t acting up. It’s older. Maybe a gen 2. So irritating.

Hi. Thanks for your suggestions. See below. 😞
1. There’s no interference. The router is no more than 15 feet away. I have a small single family home. My ISP has not changed, I pay extra for high speed internet.
2. WiFi name is not hidden
3. Confirmed app is up to date
4. I reset it all ways available, I removed the thermostat and the software, reloaded everything from scratch but no luck. Is there another reset option I’m not seeing? What exactly is the ‘Quick View’ option?
5. confirmed battery levels are fine
6. No error code. I reset it over and over. It stays online for awhile but no more than 4-5 hours. So annoying!!!
any other suggestions?
thx
