Your system is compatible with a nest thermostat. You have a Red Wire on R, a Yellow Wire on Y, and White Wire on W, and a Black Wire on G.

Thank you for your time and for looking and helping me! I know not having a “C” common wire can have issues with supplying adequate power, but i’ve also read that the nest can charge off of the other wires. I know you would need to know specifics on what AC/HVAC/Heater system i have and such, but what issues could I run into not having said wire?

Probably around 90% of all systems can be charged the Nest Learning Thermostat when it detects the power common through the W or Y wire. Well, this approach works, is always most desirable to have a separate common wire if at all possible.
