Nest Thermostat Wiring Question

I have an almost new Carrier Heat Pump that came with an electric back up heating.   I wanted to upgrade the thermostat and I am installing a Nest Smart Thermostat.  As per the compatibility check, the thermostat is compatible but there are Y, O, W2, R, G and C wires connected to the old thermostat. The Nest Thermostat that I wanted to use doesn’t have a slot for the W2 wire.  I has slots for Y, C, W, G, R  and one identified as *OB.  I am planning to connect the Y wire at the Y slot, the R wire at the R slot, the G wire and the G slot and the C wire at the C slot.

Shall I connect the W2 wire at the W slot and the O wire at the *OB slot?

You need the nest leaning thermostat the one you have is for 1 stage heat. If you connect the wire to W you might have the heat pump & back up heat stage come on at the same time. Good luck.

Thanks a lot for responding.  I really appreciate your help.
