Good morning.
woke up this morning and next thermostat was blank. App saying offline 5hrs ago.
I have removed from wall and charging via micro usb. Been on charge approx 30 mins with continuous green flashing light, when i press and hold to try and power on i get a single amber/red light then it goes back to flashing green.
also no light on homelink box by my boiler.
any suggestions?

TIA

Update. After charging for 45mins, i plugged it back on the wall mount and it temporarily powered up and showed error code H72. It then lost power again. No lights on home link

That's a power loss code. Are you in the UK with a Heat Link?

Yeah, in the uk

Are you saying there are no lights on the Heat Link at all, and if so you have checked the power going into the H/L?

Hi. That’s correct, no lights on the HL. I’m no electrician, but certain it’s on the same fuse switch as the boiler (which is working fine)

Sadly that's your problem a failed Heat Link. They can be repaired or locate another H/L from somewhere. Where are you located, area?

Hi Nath200,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that the thermostat appears offline and the light is constantly changing

Before i begin with any troubleshooting, i'd like to ask a few questions about your concern.

  •  What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • When was it installed?
  • When did the issue start?
  • Is the thermostat displayed on a stand?
  • Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
  • Have you moved the display or Heat Link recently?
  • How do you charge it? Directly from the power outlet?
  • To help us get a better picture of what's happening, do you mind sharing a photo of the heat link?

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Rusell.

Hello. Quick update. I contacted Google who identified that the heat link had packed in. They arranged for a BOXT engineer to come over today. Heat link replaced FOC and system back up and running. Bravo Google, a fantastic service.
