Hi, I have a nest stat installed and the app on my android.
I set the temp to 20° but it will often switch to manual at 23°. I have to open the Nest app and set it back to manual again.
Any ideas?

I mean back to the app controlling it, not manual.
(And I don't know how to edit my original post)

If you are setting the temperature at 20 by twirling the dial or pushing up/down arrow keys, that's only a temporary instruction to the Nest. It will revert to its underlying schedule at the next set point in that schedule. If the schedule calls for 23 at the time you see the Nest change to 23, that may be what is going on. (I apologize if I don't understand your description of the problem; I'm not sure what you mean by "manual".)

You could try setting up your own schedule in the app, which maybe will override whatever it's doing now. And at least you'll get an idea if a phantom schedule is the issue.

Ok, I'll try setting a schedule in the app. on my phone.
I have set 19 degrees at 16:00hrs. every day of the week.
What does it do for the other 23hrs of the day if 16:00 is set to 19 degrees?
I guess (hope) it just stops at 19deg until any change in the next scheduled event?
Is there a manual or something explaining all this somewhere?

Hey SteveC-007,
I wanted to follow up and see I could be of any help. I found an article with some details on the temperature schedule. Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.
Best regards,
Jake

Well you'd need to create an "off" setting later in each day, say 16⁰ at 2200, or it would stay at the earlier setting all the time.
