Hello,
We've been running our nest thermostat for 2ish years now, and have just realized we wired it wrong. We had the C wire put into the heat pump location even though we have a central furnace. When I went to correct the issue and plug it into the C wire location, it suddenly says no Rh power but only when the C wire is in it's proper place. No error thrown when the C wire is in the heat pump wiring location. Should we be exploring there actually being no power to the Rh line or is there another issue?

Do you have a photo of C wire being put into the heat pump location when you did not get an error message?

The actual wiring or the equipment image in my app?

The actual wiring.

here’s it wired with no error.

We may have solved it ourselves. There's hookups for a wood burning stove on our property and we think the old homeowners had it wired in as a "heat pump". It appears as though when they took down the stove they did not remove the wiring, so it's not actually a C wire but instead the stove wire. Looks like we have some rewiring to do in our future!

Thank you, everything is working as it should. Still not sure why it gave the error it did, saying that the Rh wire sometimes has power. But in the end it doesn’t affect use.
