Nest app switches to away when home.

Have had the nest thermostat for years. Recently the app flips to away when I’m home, the setting changes to eco & I am freezing

Do you have Home/Away Assist turned on?  We never use it due to its unpredictable behavior.  And in fact it's turned itself on a couple of times over the years.  When we find a shockingly cold house we check for that, and turn it back off.  (If you've been relying on Home/Away Assist for automatic adjustments to your heat, I realize it's not helpful to suggest that you simply turn it off if it gets buggy!  Still, maybe if you turn it off for a while it will behave better when you turn it back on.  Worth a try.)
