Nest heat link - No power

Hi

My Nest Link is dead. I have it just over a year. It won't reset when I hold button for 10 seconds or when I turn off and on power. It won't respond to counter top reset either. I have no heating 😞

My  heatlink died as well, it is 13 months old...NOT happy. It is getting mains voltage, there are no lights on it. Phoned google support an they went through tests, then asked me to send in a pic of the heatlink and its location. This expensive piece of equipment should last for 10 years +..not ONE  year. There must be a batch with faulty components as ours died at 12 months.

4 calls to get to support team... electric Ireland sold device and fitted.. they won't replace with upgraded one.. they wanted 65euro to get my heating back in to old control panel... referred to Google support team.  3-4 days to receive replacement Nest. I have to find electrician to fit! Then send back crap broken Nest with invoice for payment. No problem getting technician to fit but not to fix!! Seriously! Why would I want another Nest. SERIOUSLY!

Angela, i had the same problem and they are sending out a replacement unit. They are offering to refund the replacement cost for a sparky to swap it out. But you do need to get an invoice from the sparks. Most companies just send out the replacement an thats it. I am fortunate in that i left my old electromechanical thermostat fitted, just turned down and I can control the boiler from that. In your case, just arrange a sparks to swap out the heatlink. Its not worth stressing over it.
