Hi,

i bought a Nest Learning thermostat. I already have a Honeywell thermostat with the wiring in the photo. The RC wire has a bridged connection with R. Can we make the same bridge connection in Nest. Also Nest Thermostat have Y1 and Y2 can so where shall I put my Y wire in Y1 or Y2. I’m not sure about the W wire because on one side it says W and on the other side it says O/B. Please help. Thanks

Hi Mehr,

Thanks for reaching out. You don't need to put the jumper between the terminals as the Nest Thermostat does it internally. The OB and the W connector would depend on your HVAC system. Could you share the make and model of your HVAC so we could give you the correct wiring?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Edward

Hi Mehr,

Thanks for the response. It looks like this is a gas furnace. I would suggest putting the white wire to the W terminal on your Nest Thermostat.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Edward
