Hi - just had a refurbished Nest thermostat installed. Heating works but I can’t get it connected to WiFi. Troubleshooting says to do a factory reset but the settings and other functions are grayed out. Am I out of luck?

Thanks for your reply. I’m so disappointed for spending over $300 for the thermostat and installation and it doesn’t work as advertised.

@Deb3, sorry to hear about this and I understand how you feel. Are you getting a specific message or code on your Nest or Google Home app when trying to have your Nest thermostat connected to your Wi-Fi network? If yes, what is it? Also, could you provide a rundown of the steps that you've already tried so we can pick up from where you left off?

Hi Melba - I’m not getting an error code. When I go to settings it shows “network disconnected.” My network is fully functioning. Google Home on my phone can’t find the thermostat. It’s apparently defective.
