Nest not allowing more than one sensor

I have nest thermostats in two homes. One home I installed 5 sensors in successfully. In the other my thermostat keeps saying: max number of temperature sensors reached but I’ve only installed one. I’ve tried restarting the thermostat and reading it to its own “home” which only shows one temp sensor but it still doesn’t work! Help 😭
