I have a fairly new Trane air handler (2 years old) for A/C only. I only have 3 wires available to a Nest 3rd gen thermostat with Y1, G, Rc connected. I don’t have a C wire, so the thermostat keeps dropping off WiFi because it doesn’t have enough power to charge it. I tried checking online if the best power connector is compatible with my system but for some reason, the list is restricted. I also tried using the G wire as a C wire but the unit would not turn on at all. So I’m hoping the power connector would work. Does anyone know if it is compatible?
