Nest pro compatibility with nest temperature sensor

I would like to purchase a nest temperature sensor for use with my nest pro thermostat.  I want to know if the 2 devices are compatible with each other.

• Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd generation
• Nest Thermostat E

For the following countries:

• United States
• Canada
• Mexico

I have the same question as posted earlier.  I have a Nest Pro and would like to use a sensor.  However, I am unable to pair the two devices.  I can pair the sensor with my other Nest Learning Thermostat, but it is not working with the Nest Pro.  Am I doing something wrong?

Could you clarify what you meant by 'Nest Pro' device? Check this link for the list of Nest Thermostats we have: Nest Thermostat technical specifications

As far as I know, there are two versions of the Nest Learning thermostat, the home and pro.  The home is the one that anyone can buy through retailers such as Home Depot and the Pro is the version that dealers and installation professional use.  I have two systems in my house and one has the home version and one has the Pro version.  Does that answer your question and are you familiar with the two different types of thermostats?

Thanks for clarifying that. Yes, your Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd generation purchased from the countries mentioned above should be compatible with the Nest Temperature Sensor.

Thank you, I no long need assistance. I resolved the problem by factory resetting the unit and then it was able to recognize the sensor.
