Nest stuck on G logo

My Nest is stuck on “G” and I can’t get anything to work. I tried the restart to no avail. Help!!!

Are you using the official power adapter and cable that came with the device? Have you tried connecting it to a different power outlet? If that doesn't work, here's a workaround you can try:

  • Place the device in Recovery Mode (unplug the device then hold down the volume button while plugging device back in. Release the volume button once the device turns back on.)
  • Attempt a factory reset once the device boots into Recovery Mode (hold down both volume up and volume down buttons at the same time.)

My apologies, I thought I posted that it was the Google Nest thermostat, so those options won’t work for this.

Not to worry! What colour is the light on your thermostat? Is it flashing or is there no light at all?
