Nest temperature sensor showing -337 degrees

My Nest temperature sensor is consistently showing -337 degrees F. I have pulled the battery, checked the connection, etc. and it's still showing -337.

 

Any advice?

One of the  temperature thermistors has shorted out. The Nest Thermostat will need to be replaced.

Thanks. Wound up just buying a new unit... bummer. Not sure how something with no moving parts breaks but it is what it is. At least it's not too expensive to replace.

Mrbrownskie,  sometimes the electrical thermistors can go bad.  We see this in the HVAC world from time to time. A Thermistor is an electrical resistive device that is very precise. The resistance changes with temperature and from time to time resistive element will short out.
