Any insights would be appreciated!
I was able to control the thermostat through my google home app on IOS for a while and my wife was authorized to perform the same function on her google home IOS app.
But last month something happened and the thermostat disappeared from my Google Home -I don't see my Nest thermostat any more. I have tried adding the product by scanning the back of the thermostat but it tells me that I need to reinstall the Nest again. Which I did not want to do because everything works fine on my wife's google app.
I also tried to set up a device and works with Google, but "nest" was not on the long list to be added.
Any thought would be appreciated!

Are you and your wife accessing the same Google Nest "home/structure" in the Google Nest app and in the Google Home app? Do you have any other Google Nest devices and do you see the same ones as your wife does? Are you both on the same Wi-Fi network?
If your wife still sees the thermostat, you cannot re-install it.

Thanks for the prompt response!
yes to all your questions above… I even granted her access to the device, but I just lost Nest in my Google home app.
thanks again

Are you still able to see the thermostat in the Google Nest app? You could try logging off of the Google Nest app and logging back on to see if this triggers a refresh of the Google Home app. I saw a post recommending this for a similar issue. It seems the 2 apps don't always work well together.

I deleted one of my home settings and nest just showed up in google home app.
thanks a lot!

Hi folks,
@MplsCustomer, thanks for the help!
@bning1113, thanks for reaching out. If your wife can still access the Nest Thermostat on her Google Home app, it's possible that you lost access on the home structure where the Nest Thermostat is set up. We could try to ask your wife to send you an invite to the home structure to isolate the issue.
Thanks,
Edward
